Increase muscle strength, muscle mass and speed with EMS

Hello bloggers, im happy to note once again that the wonders of technology spans across all areas. My reason for saying this is due to the wonderful discovery I made while searching for a new topic to post. What seems to be a long time widely used device in Europe has been slowly gaining momentum in North America. The device I am referring to is the Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS), which was developed to increase muscle strength, muscle mass,  jump height, running speed and recovery. What I get to understand about the device is that electrical impulses are generated by the EMS unit and delivered through electrodes on the skin close to the desired muscle to be stimulated. For training purposes it provides greater contraction of the muscle therefore using more muscles than normal methods. The EMS also helps with muscle recruitment velocity, it changes the sequence of how the body uses muscles naturally by switching from a slow twitch to a faster twitch when needed. The EMS changes this sequence "thus making this type of muscle training beneficial for all speed, power and strength athletes."  As for weight training, it is more beneficial to beginner athletes as it helps to increase muscle strength and mass at a faster rate for those who are lacking. Overall, EMS is more commonly used for rehabilitation, however I believe that if incorporated in one's training program the benefits can be significant. EMS is a highly under- rated product and with the right marketing and product education particularly in North America, it can become a huge success.  I have attached a video below of how the EMS works during weight training for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!
